NWA 15404 (L-melt rock)

This rare ordinary chondrite from the L group has undergone secondary melting, creating a stunning microporphyritic texture. It contains well-defined olivine and pyroxene grains with traces of FeNi metal and sulfides, revealing a history of intense thermal processing on its parent body. Found near Talsint, Morocco, this meteorite shows a brownish matrix without fusion crust — a striking example of natural planetary melting.
