Tea Garden is a medium-weight Euro-style game designed by Tomáš Holek. While Tomáš is technically a debuting author, he will be introducing three of his designs at Spiel 2024 – Tea Garden is one of them, alongside Czech Games Edition’s SETI and Pink Troubadour’s Galileo Galileo. It could be the first time anyone has debuted three complex strategy games at once.

Tea Garden is suitable for 2 to 4 players aged 12 and up, with a playing time of approximately 90 minutes. The game takes you back to the early days of tea production in ancient China. The basic mechanism of the game is deck-building. With their cards, players perform various actions that allow them to collect victory points. One of the most interesting aspects, however, is the management of tea leaves themselves (they serve as one of the resources in the game): they are divided into fresh and fermented leaves - while the fresh leaves decrease in quality at the end of each round, the quality of the fermented ones increases.
