The Flomatic S125110300 16 1 1/4" stainless-steel threaded Y-strainer is a compact, heavy-duty 316 stainless-steel strainer designed to protect pumps, control valves, meters, and other downstream equipment from pipeline debris. This model features an all 316 stainless-steel body and cap, a replaceable 316 stainless-steel 20 mesh screen, an FNPT tapped retainer cap for blow-off or drain connection, and a PTFE cap seal. It is rated for a maximum working pressure of 600 psi and a maximum temperature of 450°F (230°C)* when properly selected for the application.

Operation: The 16 Y-strainer is installed in the pipeline with the strainer pocket oriented downward so that solids collect in the body instead of being carried downstream. As fluid passes through the 20-mesh stainless-steel screen, particles larger than the mesh openings are trapped and retained. The FNPT tapped retainer cap can be used for blow-off or drain service and also provides access to remove the screen for cleaning or replacement once the line has been isolated and depressurized.

Construction: An all 316 stainless-steel body, cap, and screen provide excellent corrosion resistance for water, process, and industrial applications. The compact Y-pattern design minimizes pressure drop while providing a generous screen area for debris collection. The PTFE cap seal offers reliable sealing at elevated temperatures, and the threaded female NPT ends allow simple installation into standard threaded piping systems.
