The Flomatic 4044SS2* (*Non VFD design) 2" 80SSAVFD - All stainless-steel Check Valve can handle pressures to 400 psi and temperatures up to 180°F (80°C).

The Flomatic 4044SS2* (*Non VFD design) 2" 80SSAVFD - All stainless-steel female x female threaded check valve body features a high strength patented guide with stainless steel spring, delrin poppet and a Nitrile (Buna-N) seal. This valve has a ⅛" drilled and tapped hole on the inlet side.

 Pipe Flow Velocities:
 • Flomatic Model 80S6-VFD, 80SS-VFD & 100SS-VFD series check valves are designed for both low and high flow conditions. For best service life, normal flow velocity range is 1 to 10 feet per second.
 • High Flow: When selecting a submersible check valve ensure the valve is sized properly to normal flow conditions, typically less than 10 feet per second. If the velocity is greater, select a size larger valve. Higher flow velocities will increase friction losses, hydraulic shocks, and the possibility of destructive *water hammer leading to severe system failure.
 • Low Flow:  Flomatic Model 80S6-VFD, 80SS-VFD, & 100SS-VFD series check valves are designed and compatible for use with VFD controlled pumps or when flow velocity is below 3 feet per second. NOTE:  In some cases, it is possible to use a size smaller valve to increase velocity under low flow conditions.

 • Pump Rotation:
 80S6-VFD, 80SS-VFD & 100SS-VFD series check valves are compatible with either counterclockwise or clockwise pump rotation.
